UNILAG-WORKS, BUT WHY!

The heavy downpour in Lagos yesterday and today flooded the New hall hostels at the University of Lagos due to the blocked drainage system which UNILAG WORKS, a body saddled with the responsibilties of maintaining and providing infrastructure on campus, refused to attend to.
This is not a new occurrence on campus usually immediately after any rainfall, the flood vanishes but recently, the situation has worsened.
Students in particular, stressed high level of aggression over this reoccurring problem because its discomforting and unhygenic.
A student of creative arts stressed that it took her time before she was able to get to her hostel from New Hall's gate. She said "too many of us had to beg people to carry us over the dirty water". It's so disheartening seeing students of University of First Choice and Nation's pride celebrating Nigeria's independence in a pool of contaminated water.
It will be appreciated if the school administration do something about this.
