UNILAG'S AMINA HALL OPENS MINI-COMPLEX

Nothing kills faster than silence goes the popular saying. The only disadvantage Amina Hall of Residence, University of Lagos has been known for is its lack of a supermarket. The situation has taking a new turn after lots of protest.

The hostel now has a mini-complex at the rear of its Block-A where students can cater for their basic needs and other services.

According to the hall supervisor, the complex is of great benefit to traders who need business space and students who need the convenience.

"I am very happy about the supermarket. I can now buy petty things, make my hair, fix my nails, eat good food and even adjust my clothes without leaving the hostel. It is a very good development." says Ijaoba Kudirat Iyabo, a student in the hostel.

Although, it came rather late, the students are exhilarated about the change as this was revealed in the questionnaires given to them by the hostel executives.

"If not because of the complaints, we might not have this change. In fact we thought it would never happen, thank God anyway" says Oluwatobi Christiana.

So, if there is something you think you need in your hall of residence, department, faculty or from the school authorities, do not hesitate to lay your complaints because what you do not ask for you will never get. Do not listen to rumours, instead, go ahead and lay your complaints and do not forget that even the bible says 'ask and it shall be given'
